To reduce the risk of theft or loss due to the device, here are some security features that can be activated on the device:

  • If the Nokia device supports automatic locking or safety button and you have to activate the phone, the phone can not be accessed without entering the correct key code. When you start the automatic locking feature, you should change the default lock code or security (12345) into the lock itself and memorize the code.
  • Some Nokia devices also support remote locking. If this feature is enabled, you can send a text message to the device and lock it away. The device will be locked if SIM card is inserted and activated.

Note that the automatic locking and remote locking phones can not be activated after the device is lost, so it should activate this safety feature when using the device.
